Fooy / Historical record

Learning & Making · October 30

Former fabrication, skills, teaching and repair documentation.

Historical source, edited for subject separation. This record is adapted from a saved public Fooy page. Its earlier navigation, media and separately managed research passages were removed. It is not an active standard or site-specific engineering guidance.
FOOY / PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE

Teach people to make, fix and understand.

Fooy’s educational systems are meant to give residents more practical independence. Tools, documentation and accessible training should help a household maintain what it owns and learn new skills.

PUBLIC PLANNING NOTE · 2026-10-30

From source material to real capability

01 / REFERENCES

Offline-first library

Explore a 10 TB household knowledge target covering repair manuals, agriculture, fabrication, energy, water, math and basic science. Design a legal and maintainable content-update process, backups and accessible formats.

02 / PERSONAL AI

Sprovik as a guide

Public-facing assistance can explain tasks in steps, adapt to experience and help residents compare power use, material choices and costs. Deployment options should reflect local hardware, privacy and electricity constraints.

03 / HARDWARE

Workshops that earn their space

3D printing, appropriate CNC work, soldering, repair tools and shared fabrication resources can extend the life of household equipment. Tool access depends on training, guarding and local rules.

04 / COMMUNITY

Knowledge multiplies when shared

Support optional tool-lending, demonstrations and mentoring. Residents control their own devices and data, and bear maintenance and replacement costs for their privately owned equipment.

Start with the learning outcome

  1. Understand: explain how a system works and what can go wrong.
  2. Plan: calculate loads, tolerances, materials and budget with clearly stated assumptions.
  3. Build or repair: provide instructions appropriate to the resident’s skill level and the hazards involved.
  4. Verify: record actual measurements and compare them with predictions.
  5. Share: publish what is safe and useful without exposing private household data.

What remains to prove

The useful offline coverage and quality of any local AI system must be tested on real secondhand or purpose-built hardware. A storage target is not a guarantee of model performance. Expensive, specialized or dangerous repairs still call for qualified professionals.

Public AI identity: Sprovik. This Build Library records design goals rather than promising installed products or household services.
