Historical source, edited for subject separation. This record is adapted from a saved public Fooy page. Its earlier navigation, media and separately managed research passages were removed. It is not an active standard or site-specific engineering guidance.
FOOY / DESIGN REFERENCE
Draft standards.
Evidence before adoption.
A readable register of the systems being considered for Fooy homes and neighborhoods. These are proposals—not construction specifications, permit approvals or proof of performance.
PROPOSED · REVISION 2026.10.30-01
Design register
| Code | Area | Current proposal |
|---|---|---|
| L001 | Reclaimed land | Previously disturbed excavation sites are evaluation candidates, not assumed safe or available. Require title, mineral-rights, contamination, geology, flood, engineering and restoration reviews. |
| H001 | Capable homes | Design energy-efficient, maintainable homes with proposed rooftop solar PV and resident-controlled systems. Pilot and measured cost precede wider adoption. |
| E001 | Energy and resilience | Record kWh, peak watts, solar yield, storage losses and critical-load endurance. Any shared or islandable system requires utility-approved isolation, protection and professional engineering. |
| W001 | Modular nonpotable water | Explore a portable 10-gallon entry module (20+ gallons preferred where useful), wheeled movement, standardized docks, isolation valves, quick-connects, downspout bypass and clearly labeled nonpotable service. |
| K001 | Household knowledge | Explore a 10 TB locally controlled reference library target, offline-first learning and Sprovik assistance. Measure hardware capability, data quality, storage lifecycle, backups and power use. |
| T001 | Repair and making | Support safe access to 3D printing, CNC fabrication, basic diagnostics, welding and shared tools appropriate to training. Separate hazardous work and require supervision where necessary. |
| M001/M002 | Movement and greenways | Explore connected walking, e-bike and lawful low-speed cart routes with safe intersections, accessibility and emergency access. Integrate water management, fruit groves and habitat. |
| F001 | Food resilience | Evaluate gardens, greenhouses, perennial crops and staple-food production using realistic yield, labor, water, storage and nutritional assumptions. Preserve external supply options. |
| C001 | Shared community interfaces | Study opt-in shared tool/resource access and interoperable service connections while retaining private home ownership, maintenance responsibilities and resident choice. |
The October 30 original standards note remains available as a dated source document. This readable register adds T001/C001 for public planning clarity; those are newly proposed categories, not revisions retroactively inserted into the original record.
How a proposal becomes a standard
Concept → site analysis → engineering review → costs → permits/approval → pilot → measured performance → adopted standard.
Safety, local law, owner choice, insurance and maintainability must be addressed before construction guidance is treated as dependable.
